During 4-7 August, the Stockholm Football Cup (SFC) will be held for the second time since 2019 and will need a large number of leaders and officials to together create Stockholm's largest football tournament. Just like Right To Play, the Stockholm Football Cup is passionate about sports being open to everyone. Hiring young people from the Right To Play program and bringing more diversity into different positions in the organization is therefore an extremely important step in the right direction!
Through a collaboration with Right To Play Sweden, SFC has hired young people for several of the positions, from, for example, accommodation manager to school and event hosts.
"Not only do we get help to arrange Stockholm's biggest football cup together with Right To Play, we also help to integrate newcomers into Stockholm's working life - an incredibly cool synergy. SFC's vision is to be a meeting place for EVERYONE regardless of background or individual preferences. Right To Play's initiative is completely in line with our values. We are both proud and happy for our upcoming collaboration and look forward to getting to know our new officials" says Jonas Dyrke, cup general at Stockholm Football Cup.
To inspire more employers employ with diversity is a step towards building a more equal society. Today, many young people with a foreign background struggle entering the business market, at the same time they struggle with integration to the sociaty. Through this collaboration, young people get an opportunity to take part in both the business market and the sports movement!
